Carve Wood Rebirth Guide on Roblox: When and How to Reset

Rebirth is the prestige layer in Carve Wood on Roblox. After you unlock biome two and reach the milestone hidden in the upper-right corner of your HUD, a new button appears that lets you reset your lumber yard and carry forward a permanent cash bonus. Players who understand the threshold out-earn players who rebirth the moment the button unlocks, because the multiplier compounds across your entire next save. This guide walks through what rebirth actually does, when to pull the trigger, and how to chain your first three rebirths without losing momentum.

What rebirth does in Carve Wood

When you rebirth in Carve Wood on Roblox, the game resets four things back to zero:

  • Cash on hand. Every coin you have at the moment of rebirth is banked into the permanent multiplier and removed from your wallet.
  • Logs and inventory. All carried logs and any partial carvings are wiped. Your seed bank survives.
  • Worker levels. Every hired worker returns to its tier-1 form. You re-unlock them by spending cash at the worker stall.
  • Axe tier. You drop back to the Common Oak Hatchet. Any Mythic or Legendary axes you bought are refunded at full cost into the rebirth multiplier, which is the reason an early Legendary actually pays for itself if you rebirth at the right moment.

The thing rebirth does NOT reset is your biome unlocks, your offline growth rate, your seed bank, and the rare trees you have already planted. Those persist, which is why a smart rebirth never feels like starting over.

The rebirth multiplier explained

The multiplier is a single percentage stacked on top of every cash gain. The exact formula is internal, but the verified pattern is:

  • Rebirth 1: +25% permanent cash multiplier on every chop and every customer sale.
  • Rebirth 2: +60% (so a player at rebirth 2 earns 1.85x what a fresh player earns per chop).
  • Rebirth 3: +110% (roughly 2.35x).
  • Rebirth 4 and beyond: the curve flattens. By rebirth 6 you are earning about 4x per chop, and the gains between rebirth 7 and rebirth 8 are marginal.

The multiplier is multiplicative on top of customer bonuses, which is why the speed-run builds on the Best player builds page always pair a high rebirth count with the customer bonus loop. A player at rebirth 3 selling during a 5x round is earning roughly 11x the base rate, which is the entire reason speed-runners chain rebirths rather than stay at a single tier.

When to rebirth: the milestone

The rebirth button unlocks the moment your lumber yard hits the biome-two milestone. The milestone is the same number for every player, but the way you reach it depends on how you play. The fastest verified path is:

  1. Hire the Apprentice Logger at the start of the session and never let it idle.
  2. Chop Common and Rare trees for the first hour, ignoring Epic and Legendary trees because they are slow to regrow.
  3. Sell every log during a customer bonus window — never during a standard-rate round.
  4. Push the biome gate the moment the second worker unlocks. The second worker is the Master Logger, and it is what makes the milestone reachable in a single session for active players.
  5. Rebirth the moment the button unlocks. There is no benefit to waiting.

If you are a slower player, the same milestone takes about four to six hours of total play time. The How to make money fast page covers the active side; the Offline progress page covers the disciplined side. Combine the two and the milestone drops to about two hours.

What to keep when you rebirth

The seed bank is the single most important thing to protect. Every Common and Rare tree you plant before rebirth survives the reset, and those trees are what fund the early hours of your next save. The verified rule is:

  • Plant at least 20 Rare trees in your biome-one plot before rebirth.
  • Unlock at least 2 Epic trees (planting is enough — you do not need to chop them).
  • Save your cash for the rebirth trigger itself. Do not spend your last 5,000 coins on a cosmetic upgrade the moment before rebirth.

Players who skip the seed bank often spend the first hour of their next save re-unlocking Common trees they already had. The seed bank is what turns rebirth from a reset into a true prestige layer.

How to chain your first three rebirths

The fastest path to rebirth 3 is to repeat the same loop with one tweak per loop. The discipline is:

  • Rebirth 1: Trigger the moment the button unlocks. Spend the next save proving the multiplier actually multiplies. Buy the Master Logger within ten minutes of rebirth so the second worker never idles.
  • Rebirth 2: Trigger when biome-three unlocks. By this point the multiplier has compounded for one full save and your second worker is online. Push the biome gate as fast as the milestone allows.
  • Rebirth 3: Trigger when you can afford the Legendary-tier axe in cash. The Legendary axe is the cash gate; once you have it on hand without dipping into the rebirth multiplier, rebirth 3 is correct.

The chain breaks if you rebirth without the Legendary axe in cash on hand. Players who do this spend the first ten minutes of their rebirth-3 save re-grinding Common trees, which costs more in lost time than the early multiplier gains.

Common rebirth mistakes

  • Rebirthing before the milestone. The button greys out until the milestone is hit. There is no benefit to waiting past the milestone either — the multiplier is calculated at the moment of rebirth, not the moment of unlock.
  • Spending cash on cosmetics right before rebirth. Cosmetics do not contribute to the multiplier. Save the last 10% of your wallet for the rebirth trigger itself.
  • Forgetting to re-hire workers. Workers are wiped on rebirth. Hire the Apprentice within two minutes of the reset or you will lose the first ten minutes of the next save.
  • Planting Common trees only. The seed bank needs Rare and Epic trees to actually compound. A save with 20 Common trees and zero Rare trees is functionally the same as a fresh save.

Once you have planned your first three rebirths, see who is currently leading the rebirth race on the Top rebirth players page. Pair that leaderboard with the Rebirth calculator to decide when to reset next.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does rebirth reset my workers in Carve Wood?

Yes. Every worker returns to its tier-1 form on rebirth. You re-hire the Apprentice within minutes, then the Master Logger, then the Foreman as cash allows.

When is the right time to rebirth?

The moment the milestone unlocks. There is no reason to delay — the multiplier is calculated at the moment of rebirth.

Does rebirth keep my rare trees?

Yes. The seed bank survives rebirth. Plant at least 20 Rare and 2 Epic trees before resetting or your next save will grind Common trees for an hour.

How many rebirths should I aim for?

Speed-run builds target rebirth 3 within a weekend. Whale builds reach rebirth 6 inside a week and stop because the curve flattens past that.
